The Ždiar House Museum 4 km

In the village you can find the Ždiar House Museum (Múzeum Ždiarsky dom), which leads the visitors to the traditional lifestyle of the Gorals. The whole object of the Ždiar House was built in 1971 according to the patterns of woodblocks from the years 1911 and 1914. In the living area there is still an exhibition of the interior, beautiful folk clothing and working tools. In addition to an interesting exposition, you have the opportunity to experience a Ždiar wedding and dressing up into folk clothes. The latter is characterized by beautiful ornaments that form motives of plants and animals of the surrounding nature. Accompanying the visit to the museum can be a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village of Ždiar and the surrounding area, tasting the local specialities or enjoying the sounds of the Goral music.
